DAMP 2026-27: Daily Answer Writing & Mentorship Programme for APPSC Group-I Mains

Created by Sairam Sampatirao

About the course

75 days. 75 tests. 495 questions. 12 essays. Only 25 admissions.

Commences 1 October 2026 · English Medium

Most candidates prepare the Group-I Mains syllabus and still lose marks. Knowing a topic and writing it under the Commission's constraints are two different skills. This programme builds the second one, every day, for 75 days.

Every question is framed by the faculty of Tara IAS Academy on the themes, directive words and standard of the Commission's own previous question papers. Every test comes with model answers.

Structure

  • Phase I — Days 01 to 51 (1 October to 20 November 2026): Papers II, III and IV, unit by unit, with the first Essay Test. The programme then pauses so you can concentrate on the Preliminary Examination.
  • Phase II — Days 52 to 75: resumes five days after the Preliminary Examination, with Paper V, two further Essay Tests, six Final Revision tests and five full-length Mock Tests. The exact date is intimated to enrolled candidates once the Commission confirms the examination date.

What you write

  • Daily Test — 5 questions, 200 words each, 50 marks, 1 hour. Three answers evaluated; model answers for all five.
  • Sectional Test — 15 questions, 150 marks, 3 hours. All answers evaluated.
  • Essay Test — 3 essays, 150 marks, 3 hours. All essays evaluated.
  • Full-length Mock — Commission's pattern, 150 marks, 3 hours. All answers evaluated.

In total: 51 unit tests, 10 sectional tests, 3 essay tests, 6 final revision tests and 5 full-length mocks.

Evaluation and mentorship

Your scripts are evaluated individually and returned within 48 hours, with written feedback on structure, content and presentation rather than a score alone. Admissions are capped at 25 candidates so that every script receives genuine attention.

Who this is for

Candidates writing APPSC Group-I Mains who can commit one hour a day to handwritten answer practice under examination conditions.

Who it is not for: candidates looking for notes or recorded lectures. This is a writing programme. You will write every day.

How to get the most from it

Write each test by hand, in a single sitting, without reference material, so your script reflects real examination conditions. Write your own answer before you read the model answer. Question papers and model answers are identified by Day number.
